Fire Sprinkler Pipe Removal
We removed 2 sets of old fire sprinkler system pipes that had been abandoned years ago. Salt is inherently corrosive to steel and the pipes and support brackets had severe rust creating a potential hazard should they fall. Scaffolding was not an option due to the restricted floor space and the cables holding up the boiling salt water vat covers. We were able to climb the vertical I-beams and traverse the steel and wood ceiling beams to cut the pipes into manageable sections and lower them to the floor. This facility operates 24 hours a day every day of the year. Our techniques allowed them to continue operation with no interruption.
