Challenge

The project required access to high I-beams coated with a thick layer of insulation. The insulation prevented the team from immediately attaching its access equipment, requiring a small area to be carefully scraped away to create a secure attachment point.

Rope Guy Solution

The Rope Guy team used a three-clamp system to safely access and work on the high I-beams. While moving one clamp to a new position, the team remained continuously secured to the ceiling with two additional clamps.

Team members worked from customized padded seats with integrated padded backrests, providing stable and comfortable positioning while suspended at height.

Results

The team was able to safely access the high I-beams despite the insulating material covering the attachment points. The specialized clamp system provided continuous connection while moving across the work area, and the customized suspended seating allowed for secure, controlled access at height.
