Fire Sprinkler Replacement
Barnes & Noble | Jamesburg, NJ
Challenge
The project required access to the ceiling above numerous conveyor belts while the building remained open and operational during business hours. Conventional access methods could have required extended equipment shutdowns and disrupted normal operations. Working above active equipment also created an additional safety concern for workers and machinery below.
Rope Guy Solution
The Rope Guy team used specialized rope-access techniques to quickly climb over the conveyor belts and access the ceiling. The conveyor belts only needed to be stopped for a few minutes while the team moved into position.
All tools were secured with leashes to prevent them from falling and potentially damaging equipment or injuring workers below.
Results
The team gained access to the ceiling with minimal disruption to normal business operations. The conveyor belts were stopped for only a few minutes, allowing the facility to quickly resume operations. Rope access and secured tools provided an efficient, controlled solution for working safely above active equipment and employees.
